I found myself seated in the line of fire. That ole' Preacher
man sure had the holy power. With his Bible he read my life like
he knew it well. The more I put up with my defense, the more
conviction fell

To some it's just an emblem a formality.
It's a symbol that's been used soo frequently.
Many blaspheme and despise.
Though it's ancient, it abides.
A shrine to death that stands for life to me.
